Turning negative into positive: we donated pants and jackets that did not meet our quality criteria to La Cravate Solidaire, a non-profit organization that fights against discrimination in hiring.
Following a small production run whose fabric had quality issues and finishes that did not meet our requirements, we withdrew a small series of jackets and pants from sale. Unfortunately, the fabric problem being unfixable (one of the negative points related to upcycling), we contacted La Cravate Solidaire in complete transparency in order to give them this series.
“Clothes don't make the man, but they do contribute to it”, La Cravate Solidaire is a network of associations recognized as being of general interest, which works for equal opportunities with the aim of combating discrimination in hiring, particularly those linked to physical appearance.
Since 2012, they have been supporting people in (re)integration throughout France towards the success of their professional projects.
4-step support to boost candidates, develop their self-confidence and give them all the keys to succeed in their interview:
The welcome: in a warm environment, around a coffee and sweets, to identify any obstacles to their job search and best guide the volunteers on how to support the candidate.
Image coaching: find the ideal outfit, adapted to their professional project with the help of a volunteer image coach. This outfit is given to them!
HR coaching: in uniform, candidates prepare for their future interviews with expert recruitment volunteers.
The photo session: by offering a professional photo suitable for CVs, professional networks and a fun photo for the souvenir.
Four steps to restore candidates' confidence, convey the company's dress, verbal and non-verbal codes to them and maximize their chances of success in the interview. The result: 70% of them access the desired professional project.
