Timeless and elegant black suits
The black pantsuit for women comes in a wide variety of cuts and materials. We've reworked the cut of our jackets and pants to create timeless styles that flatter as many body shapes as possible. Choose an ethical and sustainable suit to wear often and (re)wear for a long time.
The Made in France tailor
Our suits are entirely made in France, from the button to the tailoring, with a commitment to quality and eco-responsibility. Manufacturing in Paris allows us to maintain a close and constant relationship with our workshop to perfect the finishing touches of each piece. This local manufacturing also limits the environmental impact of production by using less carbon-intensive energy than in some neighboring or more distant countries. Also, at a time when a garment can travel around the planet several times from raw material to distribution, it seemed obvious to us to produce our suit pants as close as possible to our studio.
The eco-responsible black suit
By working only with materials from dormant stocks , we limit our environmental impact as much as possible. By manufacturing locally in France, we limit both our environmental and social impact. To go further, our black suits do not contain any synthetic materials, so as not to contribute to the phenomenon of micro-plastic pollution.
How to wear a black suit?
Both elegant and casual, the black suit for women can be worn endlessly. Whether paired with a matching or mismatched trouser suit, we're playing with sartorial codes to better break them. With a T-shirt and sandals in summer, or a turtleneck sweater and ankle boots in winter: there are many ways to wear a black suit.
What material should you choose for your black suit?
The black suit can be worn in any season. For the warmer seasons, the suit is worn in linen, or linen mixed with cotton or silk. The main thing is to favor natural materials that let your skin breathe. Opt for our linen suit , to wear with its matching vest or reinterpret as you wish. For the cooler seasons, the suit is worn in wool gabardine, wool twill or wool grain de poudre: noble, thicker materials, all in elegance. Opt for our wool twill suit .
The black suit: a symbol of female empowerment
Originating from the men's wardrobe and the workplace, women began wearing pantsuits at the end of the 19th century, and the blazer became a staple of women's wardrobes in the mid-20th century. The history of the blazer evolved from the suffragettes in the 1910s to the working girls' power suits in the 1980s. The trend for women's pantsuits quickly spread and is now widespread outside the workplace. The black blazer for women has freed itself from its traditional role and is playing with codes to better circumvent them.
