The Aymeric Le Deun Workshop

We are committed to creating the most beautiful pieces without compromising on quality or finishes. For all our covered buttons on our jackets, vests and pants, we have chosen to work with Atelier Aymeric Le Deun in Paris. Take a look behind the scenes of this workshop in pictures.

Following his experiences within several luxury ready-to-wear brands, Aymeric Le Deun decided to specialize in the manufacture of buttons and buckles and founded his workshop in 2007.

A craftsman passionate about technique in all its forms, he relies on classic processes such as fabric and leather covering.

To manufacture even more specific elements or reproduce archive pieces, he even goes so far as to modify the use of certain machines or research old manufacturing methods with a view to improving them.

Each button is hand-covered using a machine that sheaths the fabric. The fabrics used for our buttons are the same as the main material of each piece and are therefore all upcycled. The workshop uses as a base 100% recycled aluminum capsules made in Germany and certified Oeko-Tex Standard 100.

Many brands have their buttons manufactured in faraway countries and do not even communicate about their origin because they are considered secondary. In addition, most covered buttons are made on a plastic base, which is less solid and more polluting.
