The Aymeric Le Deun Workshop
We’re committed to creating the finest pieces without compromising on quality or finish. That’s why all the covered buttons on our jackets, vests, and trousers are made by the Paris-based Atelier Aymeric Le Deun. Take a look behind the scenes of this remarkable atelier in images.
After working with several luxury ready-to-wear houses, Aymeric Le Deun founded his own atelier in 2007, specializing in the art of button and buckle making.
A passionate craftsman, Aymeric masters classic techniques such as fabric and leather covering, while constantly pushing boundaries.
To create more specific elements or reproduce archival pieces, he even adapts machine usage or researches historical techniques, always looking for ways to improve them.
Each button is hand-covered using a machine that wraps the fabric tightly around the base. The fabrics used are the same as those in our main pieces, meaning every button is upcycled.
As a base, the atelier uses 100% recycled aluminum button caps, made in Germany and certified Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
While many brands manufacture their buttons overseas, often with plastic bases and no transparency, we’ve chosen a local, high-quality, and sustainable option.
